My Story - (Prelude)

The song Amazing Grace should be the theme song to my life. "I once was lost, but now am found." ... story of my life.

I come from a childhood of neglect and abuse. My biological mother was a drug addict and mentally disturbed. I've experience poverty, went hungry, been homeless, watched my mother get raped, been sexually abused, and have seen things out of nightmares. I survived and went on to live a dark life as a young adult. Everything that happened to me made me the person I am today. "The Phoenix must burn to emerge"... so I am a new creation out of what was and have emerged into a life full of so many blessings I sometimes feel like I am in a dream.

I don't question God for what happened to me. Evil is not of God, and without suffering how could we feel true happiness, or understand compassion? I am who I am because of my sufferings. I am adaptable, I learned to survive, I am strong, and bright. Writing my testimony down to share with the world has taught me a lot about myself and what kind of person God has molded me into.

"Clay must be happy in the good potters hands"

To read my full story please continue on to Chapter 1 "Early Childhood Memories."

  1. Christina: No one should have endured what you faced--especially a child. Yet, you have chosen to infuse your suffering with meaning and to use it to inspire and encourage others. Thank you for sharing.

  2. Very moving story. You have been so brave to share this story. I hope this reaches many individuals and shows them the way. I pray that God continues to bless you x o x o
